The Digest for Health Transformers & Changemakers

For eight years, StartUp Health community members Valerie and Codi Gharagouzloo, PhD, have been translating a groundbreaking physics invention into a clinical product, asking whether MRI could ever move from qualitative images to quantitative measurements. Today, Imaginostics has FDA Breakthrough Designation, a commercialization partnership with Siemens, and a 96-patient Alzheimer's biomarker study underway.

Their two platforms, ImagiViewā„¢ and ImagiSightā„¢, replace toxic contrast agents, deliver images ten times better than the gadolinium standard, and unlock vascular biomarkers measurable for the first time at the individual patient level. Twice nominated for the Prix Galien, there is nothing comparable on the market.

The inaugural Civic Health Forum – co-hosted by Fedcap, Digital Health Hub Foundation, and StartUp Health – at Civic Hall in New York City, brings together investors, AI leaders, payors, providers, and founders around the boldest challenge in healthcare: preventing illness before it starts. As AI reshapes what's possible, the largest markets in health remain undercapitalized and underserved. This Forum is designed to close that gap.

The program combines strategic dialogue with curated founder showcases and structured investor meetings, all focused on moving from conversation to real outcomes: partnerships, contracts, and capital.

This week's global digital health funding round-up stretches from China to Italy, South Korea to Canada, Israel to the US – with a striking concentration of deals in neurotech and brain health, alongside significant investment in AI-powered clinical infrastructure. From a landmark brain-machine interface raise backed by Alibaba and Tencent in Shanghai, to eye-tracking diagnostics for Parkinson's out of Belgium, to EEG-based brain health platforms in Boston, neuro innovation is attracting serious capital across every geography. Meanwhile, health insurance infrastructure, clinical AI agents, and women's health round out a richly varied week.
