This week, we're celebrating a milestone for long-time StartUp Health community members Shameet Luhar and Philip Rub of Vheda Health: a $47M investment from Agora, the company's first institutional capital in 13 years of bootstrapped growth. The round will fuel national expansion of Vheda's outcomes and analytics platform, which has already helped health plans save more than $975M by identifying and activating their highest-risk, hardest-to-reach members.

Vheda's raise headlines a stacked week across global health innovation. Thatch hit a $1B valuation on a $108M round as employers lean harder into flexible health benefits amid surging costs. Tandem Health closed a $100M Series B to scale its AI medical assistant across Europe, Inspiren raised $70M to bring physical AI to senior living, and Archy landed $50M to modernize dental practice management with AI agents. In all, more than a dozen additional rounds came in from the US, Canada, Europe, and India, spanning cardiac monitoring, radiology, women's health diagnostics, urgent care, and preventive health.
