Cityblock Health, a Brooklyn, NY-headquartered value-based care platform serving urban Medicaid and dual-eligible populations, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Homeward Health in an all-stock transaction, the company announced this week. The deal comes alongside a $116M Series E led by General Catalyst, pushing Cityblock's total funding to more than $900M. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Together, the two companies say they're building an integrated care model spanning both urban and rural America, aiming to reach further into the 120 million Americans who depend on government-funded healthcare programs like Medicaid and Medicare Advantage.

The new funding will also support further development of Cityblock’s AI tools, including technology designed to assist care teams with member engagement, administrative work, and identification of individual care needs.

MaxQ Medical, a Sunnyvale, CA-based health tech company developing a fully automated transurethral imaging and therapy system for prostate care, raised $31.5M in Series A funding led by Atlantic Blue Ventures, S3 Ventures, and Olympus Innovation Ventures, with participation from Hillside Capital. <source>

Hike Medical, a San Francisco, CA-based SaaS provider for the durable medical equipment industry, raised $22.5M in Series A funding from undisclosed investors. <source>

Astromech, a Dallas, TX-based startup building AI-driven predictive models of biological and evolutionary change, raised $20M in a round led by biotech investor Bob Nelsen, with participation from Peak6, NeoGenesis Capital, Builders VC, and CAZ Investments. <source>

Ours Privacy, a Houston, TX-based HIPAA-compliant customer data platform for healthcare marketers, raised $15M in Series A funding led by Lightbank and Health Velocity Capital, with participation from Rock Health, Lakehouse, TMV, Switch Ventures, Serena Ventures, and GreyMatter. <source>
