The unpaid family caregiver represents $1 trillion in annual value, and roughly 80% of Medicare Advantage members rely on one, according to Avanlee Care CEO & Founder Avanlee Christine.

At the Civic Health Forum, Christine described how her company works directly with health plans to identify and equip the family member, often an adult daughter, coordinating medications, appointments, and communication for an aging parent. Avanlee Care has built retail partnerships with Walmart and Cost Plus Drugs to bring affordable food, OTC health products, and transparent medication pricing directly to caregivers through its platform.

Launched in Montana during COVID and backed early by StartUp Health and Esther Dyson, the company is now expanding its retail and pharmacy relationships as it grows its team in New York.
